    How old is its OpenSSL library? What IO::Socket::SSL version are you
    using (see Settings/Information)?

    IO::Socket::SSL: 1.965

    Thanks Michael. I'll try updating IO::Socket::SSL tomorrow.

    Just yesterday, a Max2play 2.52 (Mar 2020) system based on Jessie with IO::Socket::SSL: 2.002 (released in 2014 ! ) failed to access some https metadata connections. The same system had OpenSSL of 1.0lts.

    I think for reliability, Max2play systems should be upgraded to Buster or Stretch.

    In this case the poster is running on an Odroid U3 which Max2Play no longer support IIRC.

    Upgrading SSL via cpan sorted the issue for me on my Mac. Thanks!

    I installed IO::Socket::SSL: 2.068 from CPAN today. Unfortunately I still receive "Unknown error: Connect timed out" for Artist Biography and Album Review. As mentioned above I am running Max2Play on an Odroid U3. Are there any other modules I should try updating? If not I've been thinking about getting a Raspberry Pi or a newer Odroid.

    Corrupt lyrics

    Noticed another case of corrupted lyrics. In this case looks like the apostrophe character is being messed up.

    Example lyric:
    Code:
    YouÔ (TM)ve got to fight to see it through
    This is from "Real World" by "Bruce Dickinson" I think this time the lyrics are coming from genius.com - if I look at the HTML from there (view-source:https://genius.com/Bruce-dickinson-real-world-lyrics) I see:
    Code:
    <br/>You&#x27;ve got to fight to see it through<br/>
    LMS 7.9.2 & 8.0, MAI 1.6.18
    Material debug: 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here.

    I've seen this from chart lyrics. Unfortunately the simple decoding
    trick applied in the other cases doesn't work here. I think it's an
    encoding error on their end: instead of encoding the double byte
    character as one character, they send it as two characters. As this
    seems to be an exception, and encodings on chart lyrics usually working
    ok, I'd consider this a hiccup on their end.

    Hmmm... But if it is genius.com, "&#x27;" seems OK according to https://www.codetable.net/hex/27 - should not all hex encoded characters be decoded?
