You need to install IO::Socket::SSL on your system. Has been discussed
in many threads before (Spotty, Youtube, Radio Paradise...).

Apologies, I didn't find a remedy when I tried a couple of searches initially. Thanks, I found instructions in the Spotty thread. However, I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 and don't readily have root access. I was able to find instructions to add the plugin to enable root access to the ReadyNAS, but I just spent a couple of hours trying to get it to work and I've given up. I'll go back to using Squeezebox just for playing the music.

Or you install LMS on a Pi, using the NAS as a store only. I've gone
    that way and don't regret.

This is an excellent idea. That's exactly what I need to do.

    Thanks!

I have lots of Artists tagged as for example "Doors, the" and the plugin does not seem to like this. I don't see any Artist biography or Album reviews for any Artists tagged this way. Is there a way around this short of re-tagging?

No. Get the tags right :-)

Thought so. The annoying thing is a "new and changed" scan doesn't treat changed tags properly and the original tag is left behind. Only a full scan works.

    403 Forbidden

When I try to use the Artist Information menu, all I get as a response is 403 Forbidden.

Looking in the server log, if I turn the log settings to debug for MusicArtistInfo, I see:

    [17-12-31 12:05:59.5247] Plugins::MusicArtistInfo::AllMusic::__ANON__ (731) error: 403 Forbidden

Any idea where I might start to troubleshoot / debug?

Actually it looks like this was the same issue with lib-ssl in other threads.

Installing that ( sudo apt-get install libio-socket-ssl-perl ) and restarting now Music and Artist info works.

Posting here in case others are confused by the 403 Forbidden error

Oh crap... that's the result of a security related change I recently
applied to LMS: in order to prevent code injection into the LMS web UI
it would no longer render HTML as part of the data to be rendered. What
you're seeing there is the page's HTML code as a consequence of this.
Crap. I'll have to think about the options I have there :-(
