Hi,
I use picoreplayer v1.16a (but it displays v1.16 only) and I have trouble to get stereo sound with the analog audio output
I don't understand why it is not stereo (I confirm that audio is only mono on the right channel) , can you help me ?tc@piCorePlayer:~$ amixer
Simple mixer control 'PCM',0
Capabilities: pvolume pvolume-joined pswitch pswitch-joined
Playback channels: Mono
Limits: Playback -10239 - 400
Mono: Playback 400 [100%] [4.00dB] [on]
Thanks

First off fantastic product, I love it, but one question....
I want to install motion alongside so I can use this player as a security camera. I cannot find how to do this though, and it doesn't show up when I use tce.
Is it possible?

Hi ballin,
I think this is a Tiny Core (piCore) issue rather than a piCorePlayer issue. Steen has gone through a lot of development with the piCore guys to get piCorePlayer going, but I fear there might be some extra work to do to get camera going. I could be worth searching the Tiny Core forum and asking the question. http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/

Holy easy, Batman!
Well that was easy. Just got piCoPlayer up and running in, oh, 8 minutes. What a fantastic product! Such ease of set-up!
Thanks a BUNCH! I will recommend this to anyone who will listen.
Cheers!

I'm pretty sure that's twice as fast as it took me to get my first Duet working! I may be slow, but I'm old.
Main system - Rock Solid with LMS 8.1.2 on WHS 2011 - 2 Duets and Squeeseslave
Cabin system - Rock solid with LMS 8.1.2 on Win10 Pro - 1 RPi 3 Model B/Hifiberry DAC+ Pro/PiCorePlayer and Squeezeslave
Squeezebox Boom - "At Large" player around both home and cabin
Headphones and car - Android phone/Bluetooth w/full library on MicroSD card - PowerAmp music player app (similar to Material Skin)

Charles,
Further to my PM, I'm going to wait to hear back from Jurgen, (before I speak to Steen regarding getting this module packaged for piCorePlayer), about compatibility with a 3.12.x kernel. I've emailed him, Jurgen, again this morning. Looks like the previous email was sent to the wrong address! Doh!

From what I've seen, I would vote for you sticking with the 3.12 branch, that "upstream" is calling stable. I still haven't got as far as looking at HDMI and sample rates > 48k, been too busy this week. I have several small patches for 3.12.26. I need to disintangle them from the Pidora specific stuff.
As far as I2S goes..... 3 patches, so far.
raspberrypi-kernel-bcm2835-rates.patch
This is what you had, (that I admit to not testing in any way/shape/form), for enabling > 48k sample rates for HDMI.
raspberrypi-kernel-pcm512x.patch
You'll need to have the rest of the power managment stuff commented out in the pcm512x codec to get the module to compile. (Think this codec is used by the IQaudio DAC and the soon-to-be-released Berry+ DAC).
raspberrypi-kernel-remove-S24_LE.patch
This is being applied with -R, to revert an upstream patch that disables 24 bit, and thus hobbles the pcm1794a codec driver, forcing it to 16 bit. Yuck!
