Is it possible to stream vinyls via Squeezebox?

    Hi All.

I have been a happy user of the Squeezebox Radio for quite some time, but now I want more

I would like to be able to stream vinyls to several rooms using the squeezebox setup. Does anybody know if and how this would be possible?

    Regards Rasmus

You simply record the vinyls with suitable software and make flac files of them .

There are loads of treads re "vinyl rip" on this forum and elsewhere a popular hobby for the hard to get selections and when the remasters on other media is not very we'll made .

Thanks for your reply, though it is not a suitable solution for me.
I like listening to Vinyl in the living room, but would like to have the possibility to listen to then in the entire house (using squeezebox)

Well, you have to convert the output from the vinyl player to digital somehow. You can do it in real time, as you play, by using your computer as a streaming server, but it is not entirely trivial. Why not record your LP's digitally for whole-house listening?
