    Looks good.
    That's great!

I upgraded the SDL_gfx library to 2.0.24 at r300 back in Sept 2013. I've reverted to 2.0.15 the same as the radio and touch and haven't been able to crash squeezeplay with iplayer.

Please try this MacOS squeezeplay test build and let us know.
That seems to have fixed it! Thanks for all your hard work!

One other thing, when the squeezeplay app is running the iMac doesn't sleep? Not even the screen turns off! Can I change this behaviour somehow?
    Cheers,

You need to set SDL_VIDEO_ALLOW_SCREENSAVER=1 in a Run a script using /bin/bash automator script.

    Code:
    export SDL_VIDEO_ALLOW_SCREENSAVER=1
    /Applications/SqueezePlay.app/Contents/MacOS/SqueezePlay > $HOME/SqueezePlay.log 2>&1 &
Then run squeezeplay via the automator script instead of directly from applications.

    Hello @ralphy.

I wonder if you can help me. I really like the default layout of Squeezeplay's "Now Playing" screen but I'd like it to show the track rating and maybe some other non-standard track information as well.
SInce I couldn't think of any other way to get this information onto the Now Playing screen, I've fiddled around with Erland's CustomClock applet and CustomClockHelper which would replace the Now Playing screen with a custom version.
But SqueezePlay's Now Playing screen (esp. the UI elements) is made up of so many different small image elements (buttons, backgrounds, bars, image parts of all sorts...) that I'm struggling to put them all into their right place to mimic the original Now Playing screen.

Do you know of any CustomClock style that replicates the Now Playing screen 100%? Or alternatively, where can I find the information I need for the Now Playing Screen (name of all required image elements, their position...) in the SqueezePlay Code?

    Thank you.

    No audio

    Hi,

I noticed today (after not using it for a few weeks) that SqueezePlay 7.8.0r1101 on my office iMac (10.14.6), no longer produces an audible output.

I downloaded r1163, but there's still no sound. Everything seems to suggest that streaming is happening, but there's no sound. I have done this:

    Code:
    david$ /Applications/Squeezelite.app/Contents/MacOS/Squeezelite -l
    Output devices:
      1 - Built-in Output [Core Audio]
2 - iMic USB audio system [Core Audio]
    and this:

    Code:
david$ sudo launchctl setenv USEPAPLAYNICE "2"
    and this

    Code:
david$ sudo launchctl setenv USEPAPLAYNICE "1"
    quitting and restarting SqueezePlay.

Not sure what else to try. Anything you can suggest would be appreciated.

UPDATE: I didn't notice that I was actually controlling a different player.

Yeah, so it turns out that it was controlling a player at home, not the one on my mac at the office. Oops. All is well.

use Image viewer to watch images on a Squeezeplay installation?

    Hi,
How I understand it the "image viewer" plugin can be used to browse images if one stick a SD card or an USB HDD into a Touch? I don't have a Touch here so not sure if this works or not?

Would it be possible to use this function on a Sqeezeplay and put *.jpg images in a folder somewhere on the MAC/PC where one has a Squeezeplayer installed?

Have Squeezeplayer installed on a Mac Sierra but when a go ; Settings>Image Viewer>Browse Media I get an error message "cannot open folder: /media"

But if i go ; Settings>Image Viewer>Start slideshow. Squeezplayer start showing some pics after a little while. And how I understand it, these images are from a "Mysqueezebox.com" server somewhere?

Since this function works it makes me think if it's possible to create that said folder (i.e "media") somewhere and put some *.jpg files in it and it'll work browsing from it?

Hope it's understandable what I'm asking?

    [ANNOUNCE] SqueezePlay for Mac OSX

Yeah, that should work. Squeezeplay is what we used most of the time
    while working on those applets.

    > Have Squeezeplayer installed on a Mac Sierra but when a go ;

    > folder: /media"

Well, there obviously is no such folder in your system, is there? You'd
have to set it in the "source specific settings" or similar.
