It means that no one has reported it working.
DSD through the SBT will be DOP playback, so I would recommend looking at usb dacs that you can utilise with a rpi.
Depends how many DSD files you have (or intend to have) and how much you want to spend on a DAC.
It might help your research if you look on the various hi-fi forums that exist.
Start with ones in your own country and then explore.

correct, you need an external DAC. Lots of choices, from a few dollars to over $100,000. Search the forums for this. I think lots of threads forDACs. On the other hand the DAC built into the TOUCH is quite good. And the TOUCH plays 24/96 natively. I personally find EDO unnecessary.

RME ADI 2 DAC.
Using it for 15 months now. Excellent sound, very versatile.
Works with EDO App. No need for connecting via USB hub.

issues with Topping DX3 pro over USB
Hi fellows,
I use the app with my Topping DX3 pro:
USB IN:
44,1 kHz-768 kHz / 16bit-32bit,
DSD64-DSD512 (NATIVE)
DSD64-DSD256 (DOP)
OPT / COAX IN: 44,1 kHz - 192 kHz / 16 Bit - 24 Bit
BT IN: AAC / SBC / APTX / APTX-LL / APTX-HD.
Using only optical or coax connection works fine and I'm able to play Flacs with 24bit/96khz or 24/88.
The DAC is also showing then the correct khz.
Nevertheless if I'm connected via USB I'm not able to play files with 24/96 or 24/88 (but I'm able to play normal flacs.)
In the info section I can see that the DAC is stopping all the time and the start again when playing 24/96 files.
I don't have an USB2 hub tested so far - could this be the issue?
Any ideas where this is coming from?
Cheers and thank you for the EDO app :-)

@gilladur
Have you tried to play the problem files direct into the Topping ?
The Topping has two settings for the USB input, the default is F-1 39kHz, have you tried switching to F-2 76 kHz ?

Thank you for your hints.
I've checked the DAC on my Windows machine and there are all the same files played well.
I've tried to add an 2.0 Hub or / and change to the two USB input settings. The DX3 is behaving the same regardless what was used when switching to Hi-Res files...
Nevertheless while trying I realized it is not related to the files itself it is related to switching between different khz versions.
I was able to play all the different Hi-Res songs, with all the different settings above - only if I turn off the DAC after I switch to songs with different bit/khz values.
It seems that the DAC in USB mode is not detecting or switching correctly to the changed values of the files.
An off and on and the DAC seems to detect everything fine.
Any idea what that could be? As I wrote in the other connection methods (optical or coax) I don't have this issue.
I've also tested an second device I own. My Fiio K5 Pro is working without any issue (without the need of a hub connected).
