    Most recent version?

Hey, I'm wondering what's the latest version of LMS (7.7)

There is a (final?) LMS in download directory from 27.10.2011 which is r33614.

The latest nightly - changed on 26.10.12011, one day before - is r33624. So is this the lastest version to test? Or is there already a 7.7.1?

    Thanks,
    Frank

r33624 is going to be 7.7.0 it may be called 33626 but it is the same.

    http://svn.slimdevices.com/slim/7.7/?view=log

But the 7.7.1 branch will probably be created the same day as the release and as soon as the devs commit any new change it will got to 7.7.1
Just keep looking in the nighlies if some 7.7.1 will appear before 7.7.0 is released, but as rigth now (Sat oct29 12:42 cet +1 )it is not so

    Thanks,

that's what I thought too but the logs keeps making me wondering.

    I think this

    http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Log...Server_v7.7.0/

    already IS the release ...

I'm wondering for andy tagged it as '7.7.0' in r33626 - but actually the so 'tagged' 7.7.0 is r33614 - so all the changes in r33625 are missing in those "final" version..?

33625 there is no such change how these numbers are genrated is a mystery but it not a serie where every number is repesented, there are often gaps .

As stated in the 7.7rc% tread by andy 33624 is the release so it includes all those changes done after 33614

Err, there's absolutely no mystery: each transaction committed to the SVN repository increments the revision number.
And change #33625 does exist. It doesn't appear in the changelog because it's not related to the 7.7 trunk.

Sorry, I think You misunderstood me - I didn't wonder bout the missing 33625 - this is clear to me ... I wondered about the missing 33624 (!) in the release ...

mherger did some changes on Wed Oct 26 (called 33622, 33623 and 33624) which are NOT included in the release from Thu Oct 27 (so even one day LATER) - so I wondered where they went ... is it a mistake or did andy "pull back" those changes so he stepped back to r33614?

It's quite unusual to do some changes after the (final) release, when 7.7.0 is set final with 33614 from Mon Oct 17 - everything after this should go into 7.7.1 (or 7.8), or am I wrong?

    Revision 33624 - Directory Listing
Modified Wed Oct 26 13:02:52 2011 UTC (3 days, 10 hours ago) by mherger
    Bug: n/a
Description: Jive is assuming every string consisting of all uppercase characters to be a string token. That's wrong for eg. BBC and leads to ugly backtraces filling the log file. Check for the existence of a string before getting it.
    Revision 33623 - Directory Listing
Modified Wed Oct 26 13:01:37 2011 UTC (3 days, 10 hours ago) by mherger
    Bug: n/a
Description: tweak one more case where we don't have to queue up a rescan command, if a rescan for all folders has already been queued up. Clean up the logging mess.
    Revision 33622 - Directory Listing
Modified Wed Oct 26 12:58:33 2011 UTC (3 days, 10 hours ago) by mherger
    Bug: 16647
Description: only cache error messages for a few minutes, giving the user the chance to fix the issue and not have to wait 24h before the cached response expires...

They will be in 7.7.1 nightly.
(which currently is named 7.7.0, which is a bit confusing, but hopefully they will change that to 7.7.1 soon)

RC6 will be released as 7.7.0. This is r33614, not r33624. I suppose it's still possible that could change, but I doubt it.

So the current trunk and nightly builds are essentially 7.7.1, although they have yet to be labeled as such.

Here's the checkin for the 7.7.0 release:

    Code:
    Author: agrundman
    Date: Thu Oct 27 13:00:00 2011
    New Revision: 33626

    URL: http://svn.slimdevices.com/slim?rev=33626&view=rev
    Log:
    Tag 7.7.0

    Added:
        7.7/tags/
        7.7/tags/7.7.0/
          - copied from r33614, 7.7/trunk/

Ok then must be something not understod by me with the changelog it reads tag 7.7.0 on 33626 .

    But apparently it is ..614

Then 33626 is the log entry for making 33614 the release ?

So it is out now, sort of ? mysqueezebox.com claims that it still is 7.6.1

But you can get from the link frank posted . They holding the announcement for some reason.
When was this revue thing release going off again ?

I would use 33624 (I do right now ) it has some fixes.

Apparently work in branches is why it looks like nothing is happening right now
