    RadioIO

    Hi Guys

Since loading the latest nightly I've been using the RadioIO plugin.

I am well impressed and the quality tramples my DAB receiver.

Question is what quality is being streamed ? When I check on the squeezebox its says MP3 128 K but it sounds much better !

When I checked with RadioIO and asked they replied :-

"you're presently listening to the full CD quality (even though mp3 doesn't take full advantage of this) Platinum account level. Subscribing at platinum level would maintain this and give you access to the Windows media player version streams."

Can anybody confirm what's going on.

    Regards

    Fred

    RadioIO

as mentioned in the forum a few days ago by Patrick Cosson, the RadioIO people
have graciously granted the users of slimserver access to their 128kb streams
without the need of a membership. Its a more limited selection than their full
catalog, but its better than the "free" streams that are offered from their
website to the general public. Those are 32kbps.
