Mixcloud plugin?

If is there still somebody interested in a Mixcloud plugin, i created one frome the Soundcloud Plugin. It is still in Alpha stage and i just tested it with the SqueezeServer 7.9 and the squeezelite player and the squeezebox Radio.
I really like the Squeezebox Server but i really dislike perl and the poor documentation of the logitech squeezebox Server!!!

I would be very interested in such a plugin.

I agree about perl/squeezebox server. I tried a few times to get into developing plugins, but the pain of learning perl combined with the complete lag of documentation on how to write plugins killed my spirit every time .

After installing I somehow had to deactivate and re-activate it to make it work but since I did that it works fine. Good work. You should eventually generate an installation repo for it.

This is a great addition to 3rd party software. It took me a little fiddling, but now it's working great, and I'm enjoying a show that, heretofore, I had to listen to in a less pleasing manner.

I tried it and it works... mostly.

There are a few strange things I am observing. I would appreciate if you could investigate.

1. Today the new MixCloud folder under Plugins just disappeared. I was listening last night, so I know it was installed. Nothing happened except a system reboot. My preferences were still there. I reinstalled the plugin folder and it started working again.
2. Some MixCloud uploads are not playing. It appears to be items further down on the Cloudcasts list. Here are some that I am following, where I cam play the ones at the top but not toward the bottom of the list. I tried changing your streamformat setting and there was no change. Could you follow these and check them out?

AAC uploads don't play. But that's an LMS problem, this will be hard to fix in the plugin.

Is there a way you can tell that these are AAC streams? The stream URL when I play in MixCloud references a MP4 address just like the uploads that play normally.

I installed it to C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\P lugins

MP4 usually is AAC (MP4 is the container, AAC is the codec, usually AAC files are distributed or streamed in MP4 containers). Are you sure the ones that work are not MP3? That's how it is for me.

Hi - I was just wondering - for those of you that did get this plugin working what extra steps did you have to take (apart from installing the plugin in the appropriate folder) to get it working.

I have installed it on 7.8.0 under Squeezeplug and the plugin functions (connects with Mixcloud, and lines up the track including the artwork) but nothing happens when I hit play. I've tried a number of streams.

I also get the 'Plugins have been updated - Restart Required' message which appeared after installing the plugin - it doesn't disappear after a restart.

Any help/advice on this would be much appreciated.
