I'll be working on a fix for this problem as soon as
possible.

I understand Java stores the application preferences
in the registery, but I am not sure where. A safer
alternative to hacking the registery is to run
Softsqueeze from the command line (instructions at
http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net) and include
-DdeletePreferences=true before the -jar option.
