    Spotify App crashing Radio?

Can anyone using Logitechs Spotify-App on his Radio help me reproducing a bug for Logitech Support?

I have a user that reports crashes, when he skips tracks too fast and I'm wondering if anyone else can reproduce it. I'm very sure this is not a problem of using SqueezePad but some other error in the Radio firmware.
For some reason it does not seem to happen, when using the Radio directly (at least that's what the user is reporting), so please try whatever other remote available.

Here are some possible scenarios to test:

    A) Radio connected to MySqueezebox.com, create a playlist using Logitechs Spotify App, then use the MySqueezeBox.com (Web) remote and skip about 20-30 tracks in a fast pace.

    B) Radio connected to local Squeezebox-Server, create a playlist using Logitechs Spotify App, then use the Squeezebox-Server web-interface, skip 20-30 tracks in a fast pace

    C) Radio (connected to any server) remote controlled with a Duet-Controller. Again load a Spotify playlist and try to make your Radio reboot by skipping several tracks in fast order.

I guess it's very easy to verify if this happens to more than one user.
Please also report, when you are not able to reproduce a crash and what Radio firmware you are using.

    Thanks a lot for helping!

I can't help right now (I'm skiing, no Radio) but I do remember that I saw some crashes with Radio and Spotify, too, when testing.

I believe I sent Andy a mail about it but didn't file a bug.

Do I don't believe it's SqueezePad - although I also probably wasn't using the ui on the radio but iPeng.

There is a known crash but it is very hard to reproduce and track down. Skipping tracks fast is a good clue, if you have any other tips on reproducing it let me know.

This is from my support-case, I don't have more information (other than the user also did a firmware reset without luck).

Hello, the crash only occurs when skipping songs too fast, never when playing too long.

I have no other aplets installed.

I have tried without squeezepad, by using sb.com. After skipping many songs, it also crashes but only after skipping 20 times, on squeezepad it crashes somewhat faster.

The only time my sb Radio has crashed is using the Spotify App it seems a rather regular occurrence. And usually as you say when skipping tracks. I also find the App is rather limited at the moment, no Artist radio etc.

I also pointed out in another thread
" I just tried Pink Floyd most tracks come up with "This track is not available in your region"
Xavier Rudd Koonyum Sun ect "This track is not available in your region"

Yet I can play them on the Pc Spotify app and on the squeezebox through Napster !!
The sound quality on Spotify is very good but with all these "This track is not available in your region"
    Gomez......

There are numerous bugs related to the Spotify app.

    1. The player reboots: this happens at various occasions. Sometimes when skipping songs, sometimes when turning the volume all the way up (which is really frustrating if you want to party . I really don't know what triggers this, to be honest.

    2. The player mutes. Nothing (Spotify, radio etc.) works. Just silence, even though the radio, for example, has buffered and appears to be running. In able to get the sound to work, the unit has to be rebooted. Also, when in this state, the "exit jingle" gets cut while powering off.

    3. The Spotify searches are not region specific, unlike in the desktop/phone versions. Many times an album or track appear several times in a search, where most of them are unplayable due to regional restrictions. So. Frustrating. This is also an issue in some playlists if you by any reason have an unplayable track that comes on; the unit stops playing completely and you have to manually select the next song in queue.

I don't know if this is something Logitech is aware of, or if I should post this info elsewhere. But the software in the SBR is so. freakin'. full. of. BUGS. and. ERRORS. Sorry

Anyone else having these problems, BTW?

I can also add that the player seems more unstable when using Spotify with the high bitrate enabled.
