Windows Home Server 2011 RC & SqueezeServer

Now that the RC of Windows Home Server 2011 is out will and when will you be releasing a new SqueezeServer add-in for WHS 2011?

    Thanks

I'm sorry to say that there currently are no plans to do Vail plugin.

Ooops, why not? This will be the current WHS server soon!

OK, but SBS for Windows is running fine on Server 2008R2...

So, it will just be a case of using the windows version and remote desktop or web interface then?

Maybe I could write an add-in! I have been meaning to have a go at writing a WHS add-in for a while. Is SqueezeServer open enough for me to do that?

    Yes.

Sure! If you ask your questions over in the Developers section of the forum, I'll try to help wherever I can. You might even look at the existing code (http://svn.slimdevices.com/slim/7.6/...atforms/win32/), maybe there's some you can still use in the new environment.

That's great, thanks. I will have a look this and the new SDK for WHS 2011 and see if I can re-use anything.
