Brightness on Squeezebox with new display

I may just be missing something, so apologies if I am missing something
    obvious.

    With the new display:-

    1) To change the brightness of the clock, just press the brightness in
    standby....
    2) To change the brightness of the display as you navigate, just press the
    brightness after switching on....
    3) After a song is playing, it dims after 30 seconds or so....How do I
change the brightness of this? It goes much too dim, its hard to see its
    still on at all!

player settings in the web UI has an option for Brightness when Idle, and an
option to have the brightness change automatically when idle, or to leave it as
    a manual feature.
