Well, that will only happen if you follow our illustrious Prime Minister Johson's advice and 'Bung a Bob for the Big Ben Bong'

    [yes ... it's that ludicrous, I'm afraid]

♪ I'm listening to Courteeners, Heart Attack from More. Again. Forever (Qobuz)

This is their new album streamed in FLAC using the Online Music Integration Michael is working on in LMS 8.0

I think this album is quite a bit stronger than others.

Jeff Parker: Suite for Max Brown

For Jazz nerds who are looking for something fresh and new, but will clearly stand the test of time. It's been a while since a new Jazz recording impressed me as much as this one is right now. This feel fresh and experimental yet it is very accessible. I tend to favor more traditional jazz, but this has really expanded my horizons. Very highly recommended.

Visited an almost local record shop in Bedford this morning for the first time. Came away with a couple of LPs:

These were the soundtrack as I pottered with setting up a Raspberry Pi Zero with a Pirate Audio DAC and headphone amp with 240x240 screen. It's almost working!

There's something right about rootling in bins of LPs, though modern record shops are a bit minimalist (and perhaps refined) compared to the heyday of vinyl. It's amazing to think about the number and variety of record shops in the town I grew up in.

Thanks Paul. I think I stumbled across Dandelion Radio some years back but never really listened to it since. last.fm says my compatibility with DandelionRadio is "Super". They don't seem to have scrobbled since 31st January.

The shows change on the first of the month and the previous shows are scrobbled during the last play of each show at the end of the month.

Thanks for this. Well outside my usual comfort zone, but very rewarding.
LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. Mostly virtual players, occasionally with SB Radio, Boom or Classic.
