I have updated this to HTML5 and it is now responsive so should now work across a wide range of mobile devices as well.

The HTML has also been greatly simplified and tidied up.

The nomouse tweak is not included in this code, however it can be added easily enough if desired.

Download responsive-now-playing.txt and rename it to responsive-now-playing.html and copy it to your Squeezeserver as instructed in above post(s).

Then it can be accessed as before by visiting http://<YOUR SQUEEZESERVER IP ADDRESS>:9000/html/SqueezeJS/responsive-now-playing.html

Well that puts my effort to shame - although my intention was to create a display only interface, as I have a 'now playing' display on my TV and control the S/Box from my laptop or Duet controller I still have.

I want to install this on my Synology DS218+ Diskstation, but have no idea where Logitech Media Server is saved on the drive and how to access those folders to save the html file. Can anyone advise?

    Thanks

    • Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB (with 7" Touchscreen in case & Flirc USB IR dongle) & Pi 4B 8GB in Flirc case, both running piCorePlayer 8.0.0 & LMS 8.1.1, connecting over Wi-fi to DS218+, or LMS library copy on 2TB USB hard drive plugged into Pi when no Wi-fi available
    • LMS library of ALAC, ACC/M4A and MP3 files

Check Settings/Information where you'll find information about the
    installation folders.

Thanks for this. These folders seem inaccessible in my Diskstation manager and mapped drives - guess they're somewhat locked down. Any idea how I can access these folders on my Diskstation to drag and drop the html file? Ideally with a drag and drop user interface, as I'm not to confident using PuTTY.

Did you look into the Material skin plugin? It might give you what
you're looking for and more, easily installed through the plugin manager.

If you want to stick with the original display, you could use WinSCP to
copy the files. It offers an Explorer style interface, easier to handle
than the naked terminal in putty.

Thanks Michael. I've already added the Material skin plugin on my Samsung Smart TV - which works beautifully, by the way - but I've an older Samsung Smart Blu-ray player in another room with a browser the Material skin doesn't work on, so I'd like to try the other one on it.

I've tried WinSCP, but can only access the user folders added using the Synology Manager - I can't see the other folders on the volume that contain the program files. I've a feeling Synology lock these down quite heavily. I think I could get to them via PuTTY, but don't know the exact pathway to the HTML folder, and would rather use a GUI to get to it. Any advice on how I may directly access the program folders in a GUI?

    Thanks

You might need to connect as admin, then navigate up to the root level.
