Wrong approach. How do you know it's unique? You're asking for trouble.
Don't do this.

Just read your post - are you able to reset the registering of my SLIMP3-device? :-)

I bought it on a flea market, so contact with the original owner is impossible. I can play music from the
server, however I cannot access apps, like podcasts on it, because the previous owner needs to un-register it,
it says in the display. No reply from Logitech about this issue, so I am stuck.

If it is possible that you can help me with this, I would be very happy. Tried to find out how I send a PM, like
you mention below, however, I cannot find where to click.

Must admit, I did not know about this consept of "Squeezebox" or Slimdevices, before I bought that unit on the flea market,
but it seems very super, even so many years after, and even if you can use bluetooth devices with a smart phone.

However - I have an Onkyo receiver with no bluetooth, which I have plugged the SLIMP3 into, and then it would be
practical to use it instead of bluetooth etc.

And you could also try to write an E-Mail to the predecessor. You can get his address when you connect your Squeezebox to (his) mysbc Account. Somewhere there under settings/information should it be shown.

Yes please explain to me, how to change the MAC-adress, as I have a SLIMP3 which will not work with apps, eg. Podcasts because the previous user did not un-register it, before he gave it to the flea market I found it on.

Here's how I released my Transporter from the previous owner's account (he wasn't coming to the party to remove his old transporter from the account):

Changing the MAC-Adresse ain’t a good idea since you can’t know if the faked one is in use.
Please try the solutions in #13 or #14 first.

In the mail you sent to me you mentioned problems signin in your LMS to
mysb.com. Did you solve that problem?

As I said your mac address is not registered on mysb.com. Either it
already has been changed, or it really never got registered.

Could you please PM me the MAC address of your SliMP3? Last time the
same issue was reported the device was not even registered on mysb.com.
I wonder whether our logic is somewhat broken for the SliMP. Need to
unearth mine.
