Linux can use smbmount to access (mount) windows shares.
Depending on your windows configuration you might be able to
do it without a password (guest account) or you can create
specific accounts for Linux to use.
On the other hand, I think it would be better to have
all music on a single server. I don't know what would
happen to the cache if the other machines were not turned
on when slimserver was started up.
When I got my squeezebox, the other family members
moved their music collections to the Linux server and
it works well.
