Squeezeboxserver on Suse 10 won't start

    Hi,

I downloaded and tried to install the new version 7.4 on my Suse 10 system. Before the rpm update I erased the original installation of squeezecenter-7.3.4-0.1.28402

When I try to start squeezeboxserver it's running for a few seconds, then crashes. The program outputs some error messages.

I reinstalled 7.3.4-0.1.28402, which works fine for me.

I have the same problem here with openSUSE 11. I tried several ways of installing (unistall 7.3 first then install, install without removing 7.3 and so on) but no one works.
My perl Version should be new enough:
    Code:
    perl -v
This is perl, v5.10.0 built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi
and i get the same message as wotuzu17.
Does anybody have a clue how to solve this issue?
Now I had to revert to 7.3 to get my squeezeboxes running :|

    Hi

I had a similar problem caused by a left-over 'mysqld' process which prevented the new 'mysqld' to start. A simple kill of the old process helped me. A look in the /var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log revealed this problem.

My system is an openSuSE 10.3

    /Mattias
