    Power on question

    Hello,

Could someone tell me if it possible to automatically have the last preset played when you power on the radio (like a real radio, as it is claimed the the Squeezebox radio behaves like a real radio).

Should be nice in a bathroom when you power on the light (and this powers on as well the power sockets) that the radio plays automatically....

Something tells me that this should not be so difficult to implement, no?

    Dx.

Yes, but removing power will require a complete Radio re-boot (guessing around 60 seconds). But yes it will then start playing the station it was playing when it was turned off (removed power).

In a more normal usage mode, the Radio will be turned off (actually, standby) by pressing the Power button. Then simply pressing the Play button powers on Radio (wakes from standby) and immediately plays the last played station.

EDIT: I should add that I have not tried removing power from the SB Radio for an extended period (hours) so I'm guessing that resuming power to the player has the same affect (plays last played station) regardless of how long it was without power.

    This seems really cool...

Another question though : is the behaviour the same with a Boom updated with the latest software version (7.4.0) ?

    Many thanks,

    D.

I tried unplugging Radio overnight, no go. Looks like you must take the extra step of pressing Play.
