    IR Keyboard Codes

    Hi,

I've got a Sky IR remote keyboard (one of these
http://www.brymar.co.uk/acatalog/skrk.jpg) and I was hoping to get the
    codes written down.

I started the slimserver using the -d_ir option, but when I press a key on
the IR keyboard nothing is shown on the server console. If I press a key on
the slim keyboard, all the info appears.

Is there something else I need to change, or is it just not going to
    'listen' to these codes?

    Thanks,
    Chris.

If you want a non slimserver-but still slimserver friendly method of grabbing the codes, you could use the xAP slimserver connector from www.xapframework.net
There's a little guide to do it here, just ignore the homeseer bit.
It could just be that slimserver can't pick up these particular IR signals, but my experience has shown it to be highly receptive to a number of brands.

    IR Keyboard Codes

    Hi Max,

Nothing comes up in that either - works fine for the standard remote, but
no action when I press anything on the IR keyboard.. Iguess the squeezebox
isn't doing anything with the signal.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

The squeezebox is only going to react to IR signals that are compatible with the
IR sensor. If they keyboard isn't the right frequency, then there is little
    that can be done.

    IR Keyboard Codes

Shame, I wonder if the keyboard is IRDA. Off the top of my head I can't
remember if slimserver can recognise IRDA.
    I'm thinking not.
