    7.3.3 install errors

I've tried to install 7.3.3 and get the following errors on install:

The procedure entry point Perl_newXS_flags could not be located in the dynamic link library perl58.dll

Then the same again for the PErl_sv_2uv_flags

Have tried an uninstall and reinstall and the same things happens.

Could anyone let me know what I should do to fix this? I am on Windows XP.

    Thank you.

    Peter.

I'm experiencing the same problem with the 7.3.3 release.

Would appreciate it if someone from Logitech could post a reply on how to fix the problem.

    Thanks.

    ths same here

Experienced the same problem on installation.
Ignored it, waited for installation to finished, rebooted the server.
After that squeeze server started normal, shows version 7.3.3 and everything seems to work normal.
Maybe it's only a temporary problem in the installation process and didn't really affect the installation result.
But that's only a guess, some clarification would would be good.

It's not just an installation problem. I did what you did and ignored the problem during installation. SC then worked ok for a while, but then suddenly it didn't anymore and I was unable to even turn SC on.

I searched the forums and found these two threads:
    http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=59122
    http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=60804

I did what they suggested and deleted my pdk sub folders and that seems to have helped (for now at least).

The pdk folders (there are 100s of them) are located in
    C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Local settings\Temp

I just hope they aren't needed for anything vital...

Add me in as someone having the same problem. Guess I'll try deleting those pdk folders and keep my fingers crossed.

I have occasionally had these messages when SC is attempting to start on XP.
Right clicking on the blinking Squeezetray icon and exiting, then restarting SC from the Start menu solves this most times. If it doesn't, then a server shutdown and restart usually fixes it.

Does the following bug sound familiar to you? If so, could you please update it with your experience? Thanks!

The bug is different, but the solution (wiping the pdk-folders) is the same.

My problem wasn't during installation. Rather, SC frequently failed to open once installed.

The message you're getting during installation is coming from SC - which
is started in the background. The "during install" in that bug is a bit
    misleading.

    Same problem

I've been having the same problem since installing 7.3.3. This is kind of ridiculous. Surely there is some sort of solution beyond manually finding and deleting temporary folders.
