    Can't open playlists

I am running 7.3.2 on Windows XP home. I recently "cleaned up" my external drive where the music is kept by creating a new folder which contain subfolders for music and one for playlists. After I did this the music plays fine but the Playlists won't play even though I changed the settings to reflect the change and rescanned several times in all scanning modes. The playlist names show in SC but with "(modified)" next to them and as "empty". Then I downloaded 7.3.2 hoping it might help, but no luck.
The playlist files are present on the drive, and when I right click and go to properties it indicates that the file opens with Media Monkey. Is this the problem?
If so, what is the SC file to open it with?
Or is it something else? Thanks.

If you moved all your music and the playlists, then the paths in the playlist files are probably incorrect now. Open one up in a text editor and have a look. You can probably fix it with search and replace if all you did was add another directory to the top level.

If you have hundreds of playlists (like I do), use Windows, and moved the paths, grepWin is really neat to change the file paths inside the playlists.

(If you use Linux, you know how to do this anyway :-)

    9 years after...

Playlists don't appear in LMS, but they do in iPeng, and they will play from iPeng. Server log says "Too many open files" all over the place. Any suggestions?
