    Persistent playlists for audio books?

Now that I have a Boom it occurs to me that I might want to play my audio books through it. This might take place in the evening (I'm married...), and I want to pause it every evening, be woken up by Radio 4, listen to something else sometime, then be able to resume the audio book from where I left off. Problem is, once the playlist is gone, it's gone.

What we could do with is a persistent playlist, maybe? I'm not sure exactly how this would work. Possibly a system for flagging an album as having a playlist that remembers where it is (this might have to last through server restarts and rescans), or a special play mode?

Anyone got any thoughts as to how this could be achieved?

    Persistent playlists for audio books?

Yep, I've been using mine for audio books, and longer podcasts, and there
are several issues that could be improved. I haven't gotten around to
filing enhancement requests yet. Perhaps we should start forming a couple
    ideas here.

    - I'd like the ability to know which episodes/tracks of a
    podcast/audiobook I've already listened to
    - Only be shown the episodes i have not listened to.
    - keep good bookmarks for where I was last time. Sometimes I fall
asleep, and the audiobook will play to completion overnight. Then I don't
really know where the heck I started previously. I want the ability to get
back to the last place I was when I touched a button.
    - long podcasts have an odd behavior using pause. If you pause for some
extended period of time, then start playing again, the podcast continues
flawlessly. Though sometime later in the podcast, we get a straming fail.
Then I have to reastart the whole podcast, and navigate back to where the
    streaming fail happened.

There are some other oddball corner case behaviors. I need to write them
down when they happen though. I can't remember the exact sequence of
    events.
