    i went run>cmd>ipconfig /all

then i got the following values:

    ip address:192.168.1.67
    subnet mask:255.255.255.0
    default gateway:192.168.1.254
    DHCP server:192.168.1.254
    DNS servers:192.168.1.254

and the ip address of the compter where i set up the squeeze center ended with .71 so i entered that in udap

thanks for bearing with me here

Hey no problem. This forum is for helping each other.

When I type ipconfig /all on my windows pc I get this

    IP-adresse . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.55
    Subnet mask. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Standardgateway. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
    DHCP-server. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
    DNS-servere. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 194.239.134.83
    193.162.153.164

As you can see my dns server has different ip-addresses from my standard gateway. And because I am not running my own dns-server the ip-addresses is outside my local network.

Now the default gateway and the DHCP server is probably correct. But I don't think that your dns servers is. Could you ask your ISP if they are?

Just got an idea: If we assume that the information you get from ipconfig is correct have you remembered to set both primary and secondary dns in the SBR? I remember that once I forgot to set the secondary and I couldn't get it to work.

EDIT: Forget that I saw that you have allready set the secondary DNS-server in one of your posts.

Maybe you should give it a fixed ip-address and see if that helps.

You can see if you gateway will server dns with

    nslookup slimdevices.com 192.168.1.1

if that works, you can use it as your dns address and it will never change no matter what your isp does.

when i use wired network i can get white light on my SBR(interface=1)

but when i go set interface=0 im stuck with yellow light

ive tried it with a static ip doesnt work

so the problem must be with the dns servers?

    i have another question now

is it possible to connect your SBR to the music server that you are broadcasting?

i downloaded this application called nicecast its broadcasting on 192.168.1.71:8000/listen.m3u

i tried to put this under server_address in udap but the SBR doesnt seem to connect
