FYI - I have been able to play from a radio streaming app to through old (v1) iPod dock - but I don't have the iPeng player.

You might be able to make it work with the old stream.mp3 capability in LMS - played via an iPad app that can play SHOUTcast streams and supports user adding their own URL ( http://yourlms:9000/stream.mp3 - where you replace yourlms with the IP address or hostname of your LMS system)

    I edited my earlier response.
I think it will work with an Apple cable if the Marantz is "Made for iPhone/iPod". It must be an Apple cable though as it needs the inbuilt chip.

The Music and Artist Information plug-in, is downloading lyrics that already exist in the FLAC Tag when using iPeng. Seems that it’s because iPeng “is not sending the track_id with the request. Therefore when called by iPeng the plugin doesn't know we're dealing with a local track and is looking up data elsewhere.”

Good to hear. Worth adding the Player option to iPeng then.

I use the iPeng player option with a Camera Converter kit cable (lighning to USB port), an Audioquest Dragonfly and some high end proper headphones. Sounds superb.

Hm, didn’t find the source.... is there some documentation as to what you can none send as a parameter?
But what confuses me a bit... when iPeng finds local lyrics it should not even request them from MAI

I thought it was a MAI issue, but when I reported it on the MAI thread, Michael said “ iPeng is not sending the track_id with the request, Therefore when called by iPeng the plugin doesn't know we're dealing with a local track and is looking up data elsewhere.”

I don’t think it’s that iPeng is requesting them from MAI, it’s that MAI didn’t know that IPeng found the lyrics in the FLAC Tag and then MAI makes the request and then saves the lyrics to the folder I defined in MAI (I verified that iPeng is loading the lyrics from the FLAC Tag — I have a header in the FLAC Tag that the lyrics from the MAI search does not)

If you can PM Michael, you can get probably get better info than what I provided

Something must be doing the request. If it's not iPeng, then it must be
    something else.

pippin - how do you process lyrics? Would you request them with the "w"
parameter in a regular query, and only if missing you'd use MAI?
