Lasse,
Then please give me more details about what exactly you are seeing, what you are playing (file format) and please send me a diagnostics mail from within iPeng (tap the mail link in "Help").
The problem I've identified is clearly related to the code lock and so far I'm not aware of other issues and I have been testing this a _lot_ recently.
You don't sync iPeng to another Squeezebox, don't you?---

Have somebody write a server side plugin which does this.
Since the files are not on your phone there's little that iPeng can do by itself.---

That would be very handy, but Pippin has stated many times in the past that he won't be doing that.
Personally, I would be willing to pay for it as an in-app purchase, like the iPhone playback feature that was added later. But if somebody is willing to write the plugin for the server-side of things, that would be great! Adding the interface to iPeng in order for it to work won't be a big issue for Pippin then.Touch, Marantz SR5004, Harman Kardon HKTS11 in living room

One reason is that the entire Squeezebox/Server system has by design *read-only* access to the music library. Its an invariant, and you'll find that no features/plugins can write to the library.
Of course its possible to do this in many ways, but it would require lots of funny hacks (from a design/security pov).

One problem is that a simple bug somewhere in the whole system would have the potential to actually destroy your music files. This is a nasty thing to do in a distributed system environment and without any backup scheme.

If I go to an artist in the artist list who has also tracks on a VA album and select add to playlist in the album context menu for that VA album, all tracks on the VA album are added not just the tracks where the selected artist is the artist.
The Controller (and SqueezePad and the Web UI) works as expected in this situation and adds only tracks where the selected artist is the artist on the VA album to the playlist.2 x SB3 (wired), Receiver (wired), Boom (wireless), Controller, iPeng on iPhone 4 & iPad, muso on remote computer running Win 7 64-bit | 7.7.3 on Win XP

I'll have to look into it, please file a ticket.
Don't know whether this is a problem in iPeng or in SBS.---
