    Softsqueeze & MP3 Plugin

    On this page:

    http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net/javamp3plugin.html

Softsqueeze suggests I install an MP3 plugin but the link to download it doesn't work. Can anyone point me to a working link?

    Thanks!

You might be able to find it if you do a search on the Sun Java site.

Even when the link did work, it always errored when I tried to install it - maybe you'll have more luck if you find it. Not that it seems to matter much if you don't have it....

    I managed to find this:

    http://java.sun.com/javase/technolog.../download.html

However, I can't install it on my Vista x64 machine, it never lets you go past defining the second path in the setup. I'm not even sure it is the correct setup that I've downloaded.

Maybe someone can just give me a copy of/link to this file:

    mp3plugin.jar

    Thanks!

    Try this

In order to install properly you must have Java runtime environment & Java dev kit installed.

    Cheers!

Yeah thats the same download I have - I think the problem is I don't have the JDK installed and I don't particularly want to.

In the past I have installed this Java MP3 thing without needing the JDK. Strange, but thanks for the link.

    I have re-read this page:

    http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net/javamp3plugin.html

and it actually gives instructions for when the installer won't work. Thanks for all the replies on this!
