Unhappy "Music Folder" option on the controller disapeared

    Hi all,

I spent at least 3 hours yesterday to figure out what the problem might be, however, without any success.

I have a Duet and working with an external Hard disk. Since I have over 500 CDs digitalized, I appreciated the option to browse through the folder structure using the menu option "Music Folder" below all the other options (album, interpreter etc.) Since two days however, this option disapeared on the controller's menu and I couldn't manage to get it back. In the Squeezecenter the browsing through my folders still works perfectly.

I have Squeezecenter 7.0.1, and Squeezecenter is running as an application as opposed to a Windows Service to allow the Squeezecenter to access my external Hard Disk. I have rescanned my files as well.

Help would be very much appreciated, because browsing through my 500 albums with the strange automatic categorisation of the squeezecenter is really not very confortable.

Did you recently change/set your music folder? Are you using iTunes?

What if you press and hold LEFT, then select your player again? Would it show up?

And one last question: what's your music folder set to?

The strange thing is really that it works in the SqueezeCenter but not on the controller...

    Thank you,

Ok, and if you shut down the Controller and restart it?

Smile "Music Folder" option on thecontroller disapeared

wow, that seemed to be the brilliant idea. I shut down everything, including wireless router, controller, receiver, PC, external HD. after that it worked again. Well, I don't understand what the problem was, however, import is that it is working again.

Thank you Mickael for your time.

It's a pitty you shut down everything - now we don't know what helped... But well, very likely it was SC/Controller not sending a menu update event. could you please file a bug about this?

I have the same problem. Now quite sure what was meant above by "press and hold LEFT then select player again". Can you please clarify?

In any case, I've shutdown and restarted the remote handheld and the Music Folder option returns!
