Hi !

I have been able to use the slimserver with GSPlayer on my pocketpc (without security) from inside the LAN. I would now like to listen to it from the outside. I do not want to open a port on my router without security.

None of the pocketpc players seem to be able to deal with password protected streams. I can't get slimremote on PocketPC to work even inside the LAN.

I am OK with allowing unprotected access to the stream.mp3, but not to the webpage controls. Can I password protect the web page, but not the stream? Maybe put the stream on a different port?

The other options seem to be VPN ing into the server machine or Ogg Vorbis ing the stream.

Any other simpler options?
