    Upgrading to SS v7

Just got my Jive hardware today

I have 6.5 set up very nicely with erland's plugins, and I don't want to change/lose this config permanently. Therefore as I see it I have a few options:

1 - install SS7 on the same machine as SS6, separately. I could stop one and start the other as appropriate

2 - install SS7 on a different machine, and tell the SB3s to look there. Unfortunately that second machine is noisy and in the living room, but it'll be just for testing...

3 - save my 6.5 config, install SS7 on the main machine to test Jive then roll back to 6.5 and hope it all works.

What have others done? Any advice?

    TIA

The problem with 1) is that they'll try and use the same database and they will convert it's schema everytime you change over. The fix for this has been on the forums lately.
