Listening to music locally at PC?

Any plans for "slimp3slave" in the pipeline to be ported to Win? I feel
this is real useful tool as who doesn't want to listen to the output in
other rooms?

The Winamp method is a kludge in my eyes, it works, but is a kludge.

Then just choose the same playlist

If you have linux, you can use slimp3slave which will allow you to
synchronize with your slimp3.

ideal solution...more squeezeboxes
I have used slimp3slave, but even that's a kludge. slimserver's real power
comes out when connected to proper hardware. I like having the same music in
several rooms, and I like being able to control it from anywhere with the same
remote.

I tried hacking triplefat so that it had slimp3slave's functionality.
I ran into some problems and never got back to it.

With that working, and an IrDA adapter on your computer, you could
probably make it do exactly what you like.
