    Sudden loss of sound quality

    I am new to this so apologies if it shows. I bought my slim Device about 3 months ago and was amazed and pleased at how easy it was to set up! Everything has been running without problems until last week when i returned from a 10 day business trip and now all I can get is a crackly interference like sound over the top of the music. This is the same whether I am connected to my music library via my Slimserver or over the Slim network listening to internet radio. I have swapped channels and even Hi-Fi's and still the same. The signal is strong. Any thoughts, where I go from here, should a reset everything to factory settings and install from fresh? Haven't called the helpline as the only # I have is for the USA and I am in the UK.

    On both channels?

    'Crackly' might be a cable/connector problem.

    Installed firmware upgrade and bingo, sound clear as a bell!!
    No wiser but happier.
