    Album not appearing under artist view.

    Hi, this problem really puzzles me. I've always been able sort of this kinds of problems, but this time I'm lost. I know the following:

    1. Browsing by album the album appears.

    2. Browsing by artist the album does not appear. erlands's custom browse shows the other albums of the artist, and the album does indeed appear in that list.

    3. Searcing for the album works.

    4. Searcing for the artist, and clicking the found artist brings me to the artist listing where the album is shown.

    5. When browsing by artist one reaches seemingly the same page as the one by searching and clicking artist as in 4. So I copied the two urls to compare. They seem to open the same page, but

    this does not show the album.
    "http://192.168.1.5:9000/browsedb.html?hierarchy=contributor,album,track&ar twork=1&level=1&&contributor.id=501&player=00%3A04 %3A20%3A06%3Ac1%3A22"

    this does show the album.
    "http://192.168.1.5:9000/browsedb.html?hierarchy=contributor,album,track&le vel=1&contributor.id=501&contributor.role=ALL&play er=00:04:20:06:c1:22"

    Except form the one album not appearing the pages are visually identical. And this is how far I got. What could be the problem here? How do I debug this further?

    Thanks

    Sounds like this:

    I'm not sure of the status of the debian packages with these latest updates. Perhaps try this in /etc/apt/sources.list and then update:

    deb http://debian.slimdevices.com testing main

    Thank you very much. It was indeed it. That's what you get for trying to tag properly. For reference it seems one has to upgrade to the 6.5.3 testing releases as the fix did not make it for 6.5.2.

    I had the same problem with my Ubuntu install. Upgrading to 6.5.3 cleared everything up. Happy again!

    Switching to 6.5.3 worked for me as well, although I also found before I switched that if I removed all Tags with Artist type information (AlbumArtist, Composer etc.) and rescanned my library, then Album would re-appear under the Artists list.
