Need help! Right pass for network computer hard drive?

I am trying to specify a new My Music folder for my slim server. How do I enter the correct pass if this folder is located on a different network computer in my house? I tried something like: \\Desktop2\e\My Music
But it would not take it. Any idea?

Do you mean find the "path" to the other computer's folder?

If so, the easiest thing to do is map that directory. On the computer with Slimserver, open Windows Explorer and display your home network. On the other computer, make sure the directory with the music is shared.

Back to the Slimserver computer, when you find the shared directory in Windows Explorer, highlight it and then "Map Network Directory" under the "Tools" command in Windows Explorer.

Yes. I meant "path". Thank you for your info. I did exectly like you said but Slim Server would not change the directory anyways. I get: Oops - "Z:\" doesn't seem to be a valid directory. Try again.
I mapped the drive, maned it Z. Made all folders shared. Still doesn not work. I can see the new network drive in My Computer though. Any idea? Thank you!

SlimServer doesn't see your drive mappings. Use the \\yourserver\yourshare
notation instead. You can copy the path you see in the drive mapping
    dialog in Windows Explorer.

Or consider running SlimServer as an application (rather than service) as your user. To do this you'll need 6.5.2 available in our nightly build section. Right click on SlimTray and you'll see the option "Automatically run at login".

With SlimServer running in userland, and your user already authenticated for accessing this drive, SlimServer will also be able to access the drive.
