    Nokia 770 for sale-- the very one used to develop the Nokia skin

    I'm going to sell my Nokia 770. This is the very one that I used to develop the Nokia770 skin, so it is a priceless piece of slimserver memorabilia. Therefore, bidding starts at $100,000.

    Just kidding...surveying eBay tells me used ones are going in the $150 range. The case is chipped down where the headphones/USB/power connects (happy to provide a pic if needed), but it works as good as new. Actually it works better than new because I keep the OS updated with the newest release. I added a 1GB RS-MMC card for extra storage, invaluable if you use it for watching video (which I highly recommend).

    The other added bonus to this one is that the seller knows a thing or two about using it to control a squeezebox. I'll be happy to answer questions as you get used to the device.

    PM me an offer or email mcstayinskool(AT)yahoo(DOT)com if you are interested. I'll give it a day or two here before posting it to the eBay hoard.

    For all of the fans of the Nokia770 skin and its continued development support, fear not--I ordered an N800 today, and this sale is going to offset the cost of the upgrade.

    cheers,
    #!/ben

    I knew I should have waited for the deluge of upgrading SB3 users. I got one on eBay in the past month and paid more than you are offering (as new). For anyone thinking of joining the Nokia 770 gang, you will see pretty quickly that this is good price and that the gadget is pretty cool indeed - especially with the dedicated skin - thanks Ben.

    Sell it to the UK - one just went on ebay for the best part of $275:

    I'm still exhausting other options such as PSP and PDA before I go to that one; sheesh life is such a trial

    But imagine a Brit's surprise when he/she opens up my package from the States and tries to plug it in...

    Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't see selling this in good faith to the U.K. when the power cable is for U.S. 110v outlets.

    cheers,

    Who in the world doesn't have a Nokia power brick at this stage?

    This underlines how little I get out (esp. of the U.S.), as I have no idea what a Nokia power brick is. Care to enlighten?

    power brick = wall-wart

    Although I usually associated bricks with the laptop variety.

    Most Nokia power adaptors are 110-240v 50-60Hz - if that is the case with your one, all the buyer (Uk or European) will need is a travel adaptor.
