    Softsqueeze on 2nd computer

Am I right in thinking that you can only run Softsqueeze on the server PC. Is there anything I can run on another networked PC and sync with my Squeezebox?

    Softsqueeze.

It will connect to the server much like a squeezebox.

You're wrong, where did you get that idea?
Softsqueeze works fine over a network.

You can download and install softsqueeze independently of slimserver. Go to https://sourceforge.net/project/show...ease_id=472618

Open the slimserver webpage on a different PC, and look for the
Softsqueeze link (it's in the Help section on the default skin).

That will enable you to install SoftSqueeze on the other PC.

It is easy to install softsqueeze on any of your networked PCs.

Open up the slimserver web interface on the PC you want softsqueeze to be installed : http://<yourserverip>:9000/default

On the home page "Help" area, click on softsqueeze, the page will indicate whether you have java installed on your local machine (the one you are browsing from).

Follow the instructions to install java, softsqueeze or both.

    That's it.

You can access the slimserver web interface from another PC, in fact it
was designed to be accessed that way. Most sophisticated users run
    slimserver on a headless server.

You can also download and install softsqueeze from here:
    http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net/
