    Can I connect to kpbs.org?

I'd like to connect my Squeezebox to our local PBS radio station. Is there a URL I can plug in to? They stream, but it's WM format. Here's their "Listen Now" page:

In general, I think you can determine the URL of Windows Media streams by connecting with Windows Media Player. Once the stream starts, select Properties from the File menu. You'll see the URL of the stream there.

I spoke too soon. The URL that Andy pointed me to leads to a 10-second commercial. In WM player, the commercial plays once, then the player switches to the station's live stream. Near as I can tell, that stream is http://www.kpbs.org/kpbs01.asx

The SB behaves differently. With both URLs, the commercial simply loops.

Any idea how to have my SB get past that commercial and connect to the stream?

Hmm it should skip, I'll take a look. But a simple workaround is to scroll down one item in the playlist and hit play.

Thanks Andy -- I don't quite get what you're suggesting. Scrolling up, down, or sideways, all I get is the pesky commercial.

Maybe Slim Devices has contributed insufficiently to National Public Radio.

When I tried it, the asx playlist had 2 items, the ad and then the real stream. But you can add just the real stream if you want:

I wonder if having one's SqueezeBox's Repeat set to "One" could result in this behavior?
