Where do I find URLs to radio streams?

It seems there are no Norwegian radio stations preinstalled. Where can I find the direct streams, and how do I store them?

I've tried for a while now and entered what I thought were URLs to streams, but the box says: Empty.

Is there a page somewhere where you may find this kind of newbie information?

(I've browsed through parts of this site but with no success.)

    Regards

Typically you have to gather this information from the Internet:

    http://www.mikesradioworld.com/eu_no.html

Don't depend on the "preinstalled" URLs as the content providers add, drop and change streams all the time. It's a moving target.

    Thanks!

That is what I had concluded myself after a few hours here.

But it seems difficult to find the exact URL to put into the "Tune in" box of the Squeezebox software. I've been to many of the links on the page you pointed me to, but the squeezebox doesn't accept the addresses I've tried so far.

    E.g. the address

    http://nettradio.nrk.no/php/includes...l=p1&quality=h

    doesn't lead anywhere.

I get "Error: Can't connect to retrieve playlist."

Maybe there is some general thing I haven't understood.

As a matter of fact: When I try to listen to preinstalled radio stations preinstalled, I get "Failed to parse".

    Any ideas?

    Regards

As a test this URL worked for me omn SoftSqueeze with 6.5.1

    http://nettradio.nrk.no/php/includes...l=p1&quality=l

If you using 6.5.0 - upgrade to latest 6.5.1 as many radio bugs have been fixed and you be experiencing one of them.

Are you using an SB3 ?
If you are using Softsqueeze - what OS are you using ?

    Edit:
The URL in your post also worked OK.

Thank you, then something seems to be wrong here. I just bought the Squeezebox. Just upgraded it today, so it should be the latest version. I use v3, not the Softsqueeze but the real box itself.

I will think more about this tomorrow, too tired of trying and failing right now.

    Thanks again!

    Murphy's law strikes

    - Unfortunately you chose an URL which points to a playlist which has multiple formats - the first one was RTSP (RealAudio) which is not supported in a plain installation of Slimserver but I have installed the support so it worked on my system.

The WMA streams which will work is

    mms://straumr.nrk.no/nrk_radio_p1_l
    mms://straumr.nrk.no/nrk_radio_p1_h
