    Customize strings.txt per skin?

    Yo, Listers:

    Is it possible to use a separate strings.txt for each skin?

    Why would I want to, you say?

    So, for the purposes of my skin, I could use the correct tag,
    [S REMOVE FROM PLAYLIST] for example, and have the tag parse out as "RFP"
    or something else, other than the default "Remove from playlist" as
    specified in the strings.txt.

    Sure, I could mod the HTML to print what I wanted it to, rather than
    using the parser, but it
    would be great if I could leave the HTML and the original strings.txt
    alone, and just tweak my own personal stylesheet and strings.txt files to
    make my skins look just the way I like 'em, and this would also seem to
    ensure the most likelihood that my mods will be forward compatible, too...

    Just a thought.

    Thanks!

    its certainly not possible the way the server currently handles strings.

    maybe this is best done by making your own slimserver-strings.txt

    this way you keep your custom versions, without having to remod every update and
    you still get the new strings that come up.
