Finding the Slimserver database on RPM Linux install

    Hi guys,

after reading documentation and faq I cannot find the slimserversql.db on my system. Any ideas where I can search for this database?

What have I done so far:
    - searching below /usr/local/slimserver
    - locate slimserversql after running updatedb

    Ciao, Torsten

    Found it 8-)

    Hi,

I now found it, after having a look into /etc/slimserver.conf - don't know why the database was placed into /root/.slimserver.db

    Ciao, Torsten

Because you ran slimserver as root, and the default path for the db is
"~", i.e. home directory of the user running slimserver.

Not that I was aware of. Cause I thought that if I start with the suse10.1 skript from wiki, that the user is "slimserver" and uses the home of user "slimserver" that is stated in /etc/passwd as /usr/local/slimserver.

But it's good to know that /etc/slimserver.conf is a good start point for diggin problems.

    Ciao, Torsten
