I noticed that the download yesterday evening was 6.2.2, so I downloaded it, assuming that it was the official (if as yet unannounced) 6.2.2. True? Or should I redownload?

    Thanks,
    Mark

PS Thanks for all the good work!

It's the same release, you just got it before the announcement went out.

    Question about Softsqueeze

Is the version 2.3 of Softsqueeze bundled with SlimServer 6.2.2 the same as the version 2.3 available at http://softsqueeze.sourceforge.net, or is it a newer build?

    Excellent!
Quick question: confirmed working with MySQL 5?
What would I need to do to get it working (Ie, any changes to the schema)? Is there a current FAQ/Wiki for switching to MySQL this?
The last time I checked, the wiki was 3+ years old.

    6.2.2!

I have to say that after I installed this my first update was noticeably snappier. Great job!

    no problem here

Installed over an older 6.2.2 nightly build with no problems. Running on Windows XP, SB2, Linksys WRT54Gv2 router.

Now if only iTunes would support FLAC... then everything would be just about perfect for me. I am using the iTunesPartyShuffle plugin - it is GREAT! The drawback is that I have to have an MP3 version of my FLAC music files for the iTunesPartyShuffle plugin to work - this means I have two copies of a bunch of stuff in my SlimServer library - one MP3 for iTunes and one FLAC for regular SlimServer use. Maybe I am just not thinking of a better way to handle this?

Oh yeah, also hoping to see some DRM support somewhere down the line. I like Pandora ok, but I would rather have access to one of the subscription music services like Napster or Yahoo Music. Not counting on it anytime soon given the previous statements made elsewhere in the forums, but it would be nice.

    Never hurts to ask, right?

Keep up the good work! Thanks!
