Here's a little plugin I wrote to skip any tracks in your zapped songs playlist during playback.
I (think) did some fancy footwork on the database side to minimise the performance impact. I'm sure someone will let me know if I've missed something that was already available or have done something stupid.
Makes my listening more enjoyable (cause I can now easily prevent tracks I dont like from being played).
Works for SlimServer 6.2.1, 6.2.2 and 6.5.
To install.. download (right click on attachment and "Save Target As") and unzip into your Plugins directory.
Edit: Updated plugin to handle slimserver fixes for bug 3256 : http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3256

Why not just delete them from your library? If you don't like them, reclaim the space!

I never get around to doing it..
So in the meantime, I'd rather they didn't play..
And also deleting them requires a rescan (I think).. which is slow.

Update for recent changes to 6.2.2, 6.3 and 6.5 nightly.
Noticed that this plugin stopped working in the 6.2.2 release.
Fixed it (replaced zip in first post of thread).

donsn't seen to work with 6.5.0
I installed this in my plugins directory. (I renamed the plugin file from plugin.pm to SkipZappedPlugin.pm if that matters).
I don't see the plugin and it doesn't work.
What should I do do diagnose?

Haven't updated it.
I haven't updated it yet for 6.5. (the last time I got it working with the 6.5 nightlies was a long time ago). I will correct the wiki.
When 6.5 settles down a bit I will install it and upgrade the plugin.
In general I find upgrading can be a bit traumatic just after a version is released. I usually wait a couple of months.

6.5 is "official", no? It won't be changing without a "dot" release...

Dont be pedantic
there is a release.. and then there are a whole lot of bug reports.. and then the major ones get fixed.. I'm not really concerned as to whether it is called 6.5 or 6.5.1 or 6.5.budgee.
Previous experience upgrading to 6.3 wasted too much of my time with annoyances, so when the number of bug reports dies down, I will install the newest version of 6.5 and update the plugin.

I've been trying to work this out for ages!
I downloaded the plugin but didn't have a clue how to Zap anything! Fortunately I've just found this: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18324 which quite neatly tells you what to do. Of course, I'm assuming that there's one or two dunces like me out there who need this sort of hand-holding...

Custom Skip
Skip Zapped does not appear to be updated for Sqeezecenter 7. I found that the Custom Skip plugin can do the same job, although configuring it is a bit of an adventure.
