    Re: blank line before footer

Hmm - all the messages came through okay for me, with a blank line
    there.

    Anyone else seeing this?

It looked fine here. Are you keeping the name "Developers" or changing to
"slimp3-dev"? I'm just wondering if/when to change my filters and what to

I'd vote for removing the tag completely. It's redudant information,
especially when (most?) people filter by the To: line into a folder already.

    already.

The To: tags don't catch everything (Bcc:?) and the subject line tag is
better for that reason. I use subject line filtering where I can but I use
    both methods.

It does mean those who don't filter can tell which email is from what group
    at a glancel...

I'd vote for changing it back to slimp3-dev but that's just because I'll
have to walk over to the server and change it otherwise ;-)

Hmm. It seems to be my mail client. If I look at the raw file, it's
fine. I've seen it on a couple messages, but the odd thing is they
    all seem to be Sean's.

    Oh well. Nevermind.

Even though I'm filtering on the address (in fact, I'm filtering on MY
address, since it's unique for this list), I like having a subject
tag. I also vote for changing it. I like my tags to be more
specific. If you're on more than one developer list, "Developers"
might not be unique. I really hope the tag for the users list isn't
just "Users." I'm the user of many things.

I personally like "Developers" and I have added a new rule to my filters.

Reminds me a bit too much of the Steve Ballmer "developers, developers" thing. =)

Filter for the List-Id: header instead of To:

In procmail, this would go a little something like this:
    * ^List-Id.*developers.lists.slimdevices.com

All the messages that go thru the list will get this header, so you don't
have to worry about Cc: nonsense.
