Streaming MP3 Server

I see the latest server software has a streaming MP3 server in it - very nice. And it'd be great to access my MP3's from the office. Only problem is I only get 128Kb upload speed, and my MP3's are all 320Kb/s...

Is there a way of having it downgrade these on-the-fly? I could live with 64/96Kb coming out of the shonky speaker in my work PC.
