The only BBC stream to work from the Squeeze Network is World Service,BBC 5,6,7 no audio?

Which i've just installed for the first time. it had always looked a real
faff on XP before but the instructions are now very clearly written and i
had it up and running in about 10 minutes without a hitch.

It's very impressive scrolling through the a-z list though i can't work out
the sort order or what hitting the number buttons on the remote does - it
moves to a different place in the list but doesnt seem to bear any relevance
    to the key pressed.

It's probably secured another SB sale for my place as the better half now
    wants one for the workshop

That's because the sort order is essentially the order of items on
the source of the Web page (AIUI), which isn't necessarily clear. I
also find it confusing that Radio 2 A-Z and Radio 2 Listen Again are
very different, and program sometimes show in one but not the other.
Again this is a BBC issue, not Alienbbc.

It moves to that number in the list, but as we've seen the list order
    can be confusing.

As far as I can tell the order is presented exactly as it comes off the BBC website. The Radio 4 listen again and A to Z lists are certainly too long to scroll through quickly. The remote buttons are treated as numbers and you can therefore select the number of the entry in the playlist you want, e.g. if you go to Radio 4 listen again and then hit '1', '2', '3' in quick succession the entry shown will be number 123 in the playlist (set the SB to display two lines and this will show the position in the playlist).

It's not too intuitive, but quite easy to use once you understand what's happening. I use a sort of manual binary cut approach to jump about the list by number until I'm in the right area and then scroll up or down to get the right programme.

Using the remote buttons to pass a letter and jump to this place in the playlist would be a 'nice to have' enhancement. However, I think the work done to keep this really useful plugin operating as Slimserver moves forward, deal with the garbled radio 4 streams, etc. is clearly the best pay off of results vs effort from the AlienBBC team. Many thanks to all those involved for a core part of my Squeezebox experience.

The order of radio stations can be changed by modifying Plugin.pm (see this thread) - the order is not defined by the BBC, but by AlienBBC.

But I think the question was the order of individual programs on a
particular BBC channel. I doubt if that can be changed.
