I just sync'd with svn trunk and noticed this doc:
http://svn.slimdevices.com/trunk/doc...=4743&view=log
Looks nice!
Expect an announcement soon...

Interesting link in svn trunk
Ah I thought it would be unlike SlimDevices to make such a big slip-up.
Announcement today surely?
I'm hoping it's just the SB2 in a new box, then I'll have no reason to
be depressed.

I thought the bottom bit was a speaker and got all excited, but actually it's just a shiny bit of metal. :-( Still, it does look very nice!

I like that the headphone socket has moved to the back, and the arial
has gone.
My SB2 looks rather untidy now I've an IR Blaster sticking out of the
headphone socket.
I don't like the extra height though!

Re: Interesting link in svn trunk
It looks quite flat. With some handy work, I bet you could stick it on
the wall. Drool...
Niek.

It does look good, but the height would definitely be a problem in some situations. The SB2 that's connected to my hifi fits nicely into a gap on top of another device. With the new one, I wouldn't be able to fit it in. However, I'd like to put a product in my bedroom and kitchen, coupled with some small speakers. The new product would go very well in this situation. I imagine they'll keep offering the "classic" case, so this won't be an issue.

Yes it does look very nice, the height won't bother me but I can imagine it will impact on some set up's.
Shame it doesn't look like it can be wall mountable (the sockets look like they stick out from the back) as that would be perfect for my planned set up in my kitchen and bedroom.
I can't wait to find out what other goodies are packed into this.
