    Active Speakers not powering down

    Hello All,

I have active speakers hooked up to the SB2 in the auto power on mode. I tried mute, power down methods on the SB2 but the speakers remain on for ever, unless I pull the power cord out of the SB2. Is there a remedy for this? Please Advice.

Do the speakers hum a bit?

I don't hear any hum from the speakers, it just stays on.

This has already been discussed on the Audiophile forum:

Thanks for the link cbemoore. Is there a firmware upgrade already to fix the issue or Sean Adams is still looking at this issue?

Bathwater v. Baby; Speakers v. Sound

To Sean Adams -- or whoever -- Just one customer's vote here, but Please do not, do not, do not modify this product in order to "power-down active speakers" at the cost of affecting the sound (or even just the audio measurements). Surely the sound quality must come first? Thanks.

Don't worry, that's a given. I doubt SlimDevices would ever intentionally do something that would detrimentally affect the sound quality!

Some people think the title of this song is irrelevant,
                but it's not irrelevant - it's a hippopotamus.

I wonder if this request is related to bug 1397

Unfortunately, it's not going to be fixed for 6.2
