SlimServer 4-22 install failure; can not back out

W2K Pro: I upgraded to the 4-22 nightly, which installed OK, but in
the plugins directory I could not change any value, so decided to back
    it out to 6.0.1 ('official').

    Now I get:

"Could not start SlimServer on Local Computer. the service did not
return an error...this could be due to an internal windows error or an
    internal server error.'

In Event Viewer > Applications I get: Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Application
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 0
    Date: 4/23/2005
    Time: 9:11:42 AM
    User: N/A
    Computer: MANHN-WS
    Description:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. The following information is part of the event: Undefined
    subroutine &Slim::Buttons::Common::setFunction called at C:/Program
    Files/SlimServer/server/Plugins/Favorites/Plugin.pm line 211.
    ..
Any suggestions on how I fix this??

What do you wanted to change and why/how did it fail?

Did you install a 6.1 nightly over 6.0.1?

The Favorites plugin uses functions that are not available in 6.0.x.
Remove it from your plugins folder (as well as Podcast, RadioIO,
    Shoutcast, Picks) and reinstall 6.0.x
