    Browse Albums, New Music woes

I find that when doing Browse Albums or New Music, I sometimes don't
recognize an album title. I then resort to right-right-down to see the
artist, then up-left-left if it's not what I wanted. Instead, I'd like
to see something like "Album (Artist)" in the Browse display to jog my
failing memory. Does this option currently exist? If not, can anyone
clue me on how and where to tweak the code to make it so?

John - Check Server Settings -> Formatting

Or for the player itself: Player Settings -> Display

Dont see any option for this. Nearest thing is show year with album. Any
chance of doing htis with artist as well?

Are you thinking about the 'title options' which is only for the showing
the details of a particular song (e.g. in now playing) rather than in
    album view?

Doesnt seem any helpful options here.

Also the 'show year with albums' only affects the web ui, it makes no
    differnence to the player ui.

    Hi John

Go to Server Settings...Formatting and scroll down to Title Format.
Add this one and select it:

    DISC-TRACKNUM. TITLE (ARTIST)

Then, in Player Settings (main page) change the Title Format and you
should see the new one in the drop down.

    Works a treat for me.

    John

You need to create the format in the server settings (this will affect
the browser although you don't have to select the new format) and then
you can select it from the player settings. This will only affect the
    particular player.

Works a treat for me too....
....however it only changes the display format in the "now playing" section

    What I want it...
Browse music --> browse albums --> Albums (23 of 196)
Bat out of hell (Meat Loaf)

What I currently get is (no matter what I do to title format)...
Browse music --> browse albums --> Albums (23 of 196)
    Bat out of hell

As another option I would like to see (where the number in brackets is
the number of songs by that artist)....
Browse music --> browse artists --> Artists (402 of 572)
    Queen (92)

    Cheers

Dan, as noted by the other John (Gorst), these settings seem to affect
only the Now Playing screensaver. I'm look for something that would add
(Artist) information to the Browse Albums mode of the player (& possibly
    web) interface.
