switched to wireless -- now squeezebox reboots at random

If this is user error, I'd like to be the first to have someone show me
where I've erred. At the SB will play for hours w/o a problem; other times
(and almost exclusively when when playing Internet Radio) it will reboot and
recommence playing. It's extremely annoying. My wife will not bother anymore
using the SB; I put up with it and fumble for solutions like changing the
router (was using Sonicwall SOHO2 router/firewall with Linksys WAP11; now
using a TrendNet TEW-435BRM), changing the wireless channel, changing the
WEP encryption, changing from SS as service to SS as application. etc.
Indeed, changing to the Trendnet all-in-1 applicance resolved a problem I
has in being able to have the SB download the genre list from Live365.

So short of my anticipated move from my current 13 story apartment to a
house in the country next month, where we'll see if has to do with the
microwaves, cordless phones, other WIFI networks in the same building (I
currently count 2 plus my own that I can detect), I too am at a loss for how
this problem can be resolved. Just to reiterate, it in my case it seems
related to playing internet radio through the wireless SB; ripped CDs seems
to never or virtually never have this problem.

Of course, should some enlightened soul be able to guide me in the right
direction, I'll post the "success story" on these pages.

I'm curious. by reboot, you mean it actually comes up with the squeezebox logo
and waits for input for setup, then connects to server? or do you mean that it
goes blank, then connecting to server? i'd consider the latter a dropped
connection as opposed to a reboot. I've never actually seen what I'd call a
reboot, unless I've triggered one, or I've been testing brand new firmware that
turned out to not be quite right.

    I'm currently listening to live365, SBG firmware 40, SS 6.0a1 r2231. Its on a
wireless connection to a Dlink dlw900AP using 128-bit WEP. I do happen to have
4 neighbours with wi-fi according to my ibook's network sensing. my AP is set
to channel 11. i also have a WRT54G with the wifi-box firmware on channel 6.

my apologies if none of this is of any help. I just can't conceptualise the
problem as it is so far from my experiences.

I reciently started seeing the same issue. Squeezebox reboots
randomly. I've noticed while playing songs and while using internet
radio. I'm actually running 5.4 nightly (thanks for helping discover
this btw.. I thought I was running 6) I downgraded to the stable
    release, and it still occurs.

My slimserver is a dual proc g4. I have a separate 802.11b wireless net
for the squeezebox, 2 orinoco APs (ap500 and ap600).

    I'm not using any encryption.

The squeezebox will reboot, show the squeezebox logo and precede through
    setup.
Then if i was listening to mp3s it usually goes back to the begining of
the song it was just playing. The squeezebox is running Player
    Firmware Version: 40.

    Cheers,
    p
